America’s Got Talent spin-off is also known as AGT: All-Stars. It has recently showcased another episode on NBC. One of the show-stopping contestants, Ana-Maria Mărgean, has two unique skills combined. She is a fantastic singer and an equally expert ventriloquist.
The now 13-year-old had won Season 11 of Romania’s Got Talent 2 years ago. Mărgean says in her pre-performance interview that she was inspired by AGT Season 2 winner Terry Fator and decided to choose ventriloquism as her career.
Mărgean tells the audience that her parents got her the puppet for her 11th birthday. But, she adds, “They’re like my sisters and my brothers.” The teen ventriloquist is very fond of her puppet collection.
During the ventriloquism act, Mărgean did a hilarious skit about Waldo, her black rescue dog puppet. She could perfectly do a voiceover for the puppet without moving her mouth. Later, she also performs a sassy rendition of “You Don’t Own Me” by Lesley Gore.
She controlled her vocals and crooned before flipping into high notes, and the best part is she made Waldo sing along, too! “Wow,” Mandel declared in awe!! Terry Crews, the show host, says, “It was an ‘Incredible’ performance.”
Klum gushes during her feedback and tells Mărgean, “I mean, no wonder you won [Romania’s Got Talent]. You are incredible, gorgeous, and can sing beautifully, I love your furry friend, and it was funny, too! I love all the banter and the jokes.”
Mandel is impressed by Mărgean’s performance and exclaims, “The fact that this was something you looked up online, the fact that you were inspired by people you saw on America’s Got Talent, you are an AGT All-Star! The Superfans are gonna love you!” In the end, Cowell adds to the feedback and states, “I mean, you are hilarious!”
