If you have cats, glance over at them right now. What are they doing? Chances are good that they are probably engaged in one of the following three activities: sleeping, eating or drinking, or using the litterbox. It seems like they have a pretty quiet life, right? Wrong. YouTube user “ShoKo” came up with a long list of jobs that they could do around the house. Most of these would probably occur for my cats in the case of me not looking…
What are some of them? Well, I don’t want to spoil the whole video, which is quite creative and very well put-together. One of the jobs is Gravity Checker. A cat sits on top of a shelf, with an item next to him or her. One quick swipe of the paw knocks the item off… and once again, Sir Isaac Newton is proven correct. Gravity does, indeed, still exist! I think I’d be very worried if the item suddenly floated off. That could mean the cat was on the International Space Station, though.
Another “job” is Fabric Furrier. My cats would be the BEST at this. What a Fabric Furrier does is just lay on some fabric to put their fur on it. I would suggest whoever is in charge of hiring here sign up my two cats. They excel at lying on my wife’s clothes for the next day and getting it all hairy. Yes, we buy lint rollers in bulk. Why do you ask? I hope the pay for this is very good… we need more money for lint rollers.
I love the idea of these “jobs” for cats. It’s high time that they started contributing more to the household in ways beyond lying around looking very cute or occasionally playing. They could pay their way for cat food, litter and vet bills. Well, convincing them to do this might be a little tricky, though. I showed one of them a contract for a job and I have the scratch marks to prove their displeasure. Oh well, back to the drawing board.
What a creative video! What did you think? Would any of your cats be a good fit? We’d love to hear your thoughts on it in the comments section. Also, please “Like” us on Facebook!
