Holland Got Talent (HGT) had a sensational moment as a young girl voiced out Nessun Dorma with complete perfection. An outstanding opera performance, one which will make Giacomo Puccini proud.
When you hear “nessun dorma,” you think of Luciano Pavarotti—the legendary operatic tenor. The song had a different tune when Amira Willighagen let out a sonorous and angelic voice reverberating chills across the entire stage.
With much composure, She set off on a high note. Ending the first line of the song in a deep low pitch. Amira had her arms out, swaying gently, as she controlled her breath brilliantly.
As she picked up the third verse, one could hear the backup singers like the host of heaven supporting her. At this point, the judges and audience were blown away.
Amira sang on, with the spotlight on, and her harmonies set the stage on fire. She had every moment, every word, and the whole world in tune with her singing.
There was a pause. With her eyes closed, she took deep breaths preparing for the final showdown. One that left the audience speechless. The background singers held the moment graciously singing in one accord.
The young girl broke out on an incredibly high note. Singing with all her breath and strength. Amira rang out the last line, excellently extending the note, as she finished Nessun Dorma in a perfect crescendo.
