200 Men Sing ‘Danny Boy’ and I Can’t Hold Back My Tears

What is it about “Danny Boy” that touches our hearts so? There’s just something about it that gives us chills — especially the rendition you are about to watch.

“Danny Boy” of course, is a well-known ballad set to an old Irish melody. The words were written by English songwriter Frederic Weatherly and when performed it is usually set to the Irish tune of the “Londonderry Air”.

There have been many renditions of this Irish classic over the years and I can’t say I’ve heard one I don’t like. That’s the Irish in me I suppose. This particular version of Danny Boy is sure to please you as much as it does me. To sing as soft as that and still have the control, blend, and sweetness is what acapella is all about.

The performance has touched many. One fan says,  “I’m in tears. It has been a spiritual experience to hear this and will be each time I listen. Heartfelt gratitude to all involved.”

Now it’s your turn to watch and listen to this amazing video of one of our favorite Irish tunes of all time.
