Have you ever wondered how Christmas is celebrated around the world? Do people believe that Santa will deliver their presents on time? It is hard to know. I remember when I was a kid, that’s all I ever waited for. My wait would start right after Thanksgiving. I would enter ‘good-behavior-mode’ and try to be extra helpful with my parents. I know that I’m supposed to be like that every year, but I don’t know what happened.

It was very weird. For me, everything that was worthwhile was between Halloween, because of the candies and Christmas because of the presents. Every year, I would have the same plan. I would plan on doing a good deed, at least every Friday, so they could add up for Christmas. I even had a notebook where I would track my progress to make sure I was on track.

The problem is that something would happen between January and October. Even though I had been waiting for this time, it ended up flying past me without any progress. If you asked me, school was the culprit. There were just too many things to do in that time. I remember that between homework, after-school activities, errands and my play time, I just didn’t have any time left to do any honorable deeds.

I ended up needing to hurry to make up for it. Anyway, by the time Christmas had arrived, I managed to push in a couple of honorable deeds and that would be enough for me to at least get something. We had a fun time on Christmas and pretty much everyone else I knew celebrated Christmas the same way. You know, Christmas tree, Santa, Christmas stockings, and all the works…

I always wondered what the rest of the world did for Christmas. I watched a couple of videos of places around the world where they had very similar traditions. I remember the Chinese had a different calendar, so most of them celebrated things at a different time.

But the thing that intrigued me the most is how people from my favorite cartoons celebrated Christmas. I remember watching a couple of episodes of Winnie the Pooh, and they celebrated Christmas the old-fashioned way. I always wondered how Christmas in the Pride Lands would be celebrated. Now I know. Get ready for next music video. It will give you a clear idea of how they welcome the good old man in red!
