Old footage shows a peek into high school in the 1960s. It is clear that their fashion was very different back then. A lot of the students had very similar styles and outfits.
The film is grainy and old, capturing them in various activities. Students sit in their chairs with their textbooks wide open. In the cafeteria, there are kitchen staff working hard with big smiles on their faces.
Students are on their best behavior, as their teacher appears to be explaining what they have in their textbooks. Some appear to be paying close attention while others have their mind elsewhere.
Gym class was very different back then. All the boys are shirtless and wearing shorts as they charge a field with various means of exercising.
The high school appears to have fancy events as well. Some students are seen in formal wear, suits with boutonnières. They may be having some sort of dance or prom.
Footage of a lab shows them in class with safety goggles. Then you can see another class with them using typewriters, a reminder of how long ago this era was.
There are dance classes, track and field, math lessons, and more. High school in the 1960s is very similar to how it is today. The best things stayed the same.
