Kids everywhere fizzed with excitement for these sweet treats, despite being banned later on due to a harmful sweetener.
It’s hard to forget the ant farm craze of the 60s. With Uncle Milton’s comic and magazine ads tempting kids everywhere, eager youngsters sent away for their vial of 25 ants, ready to create their very own ant colony. Those tiny creatures captured our hearts and entertained us for hours.

A worldwide audience watched as Neil Armstrong took that historic first step on the moon, declaring it “one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” The mission, which occurred just eight years after President Kennedy’s challenge, was undoubtedly the most awe-inspiring moment of the 60s.
