This cat was born with a very rare condition. He is a Janus cat. He was born with two faces, just like the Roman God for which the condition is named. Because he has two faces they decided to give him two names. This cat is called Frank and Louie.
Most Janus cats are not long for this world, and don’t live longer than a week. When he was born the vet recommended that he be euthanized. But Frank and Louis defied the odds and became the longest lived Janus cat in the world. This earned him a Guinness World Record.
Frank and Louis lived to be 15 years old. He lived those 15 years with a kind owner called Ms Stevens. Mrs Stevens said that Frank and Louis was such a great cat that she would adopt a Janus cat again if she had the chance. Unfortunately Frank and Louis were taken from us by cancer.
