Get ready to witness the construction of the world's first passenger cruise ship fully powered by LNG (liquified natural gas) in a unique cinematic timelapse! MK Timelapse GmbH has captured the awe-inspiring process of building the 1105-foot-long AIDAnova cruise ship, which can carry up to 6600 passengers.

A large industrial machine with multiple components is being assembled or maintained in a factory setting.

Using advanced MKV4 time lapse cameras, the team shot 40mp images every minute, showcasing the modular assembly process from the shipyards of Germany and Finland. First, the video takes you on a journey through the ship's massive engines being built. Then, it follows the innovative design of amenities, entertainment, and dining.

The ship features 17 restaurants, including six à la carte restaurants, five specialty restaurants, and five buffet restaurants. It also has a luxury day spa, multiple outdoor Jacuzzis, a water park, a climbing garden, and a mini-golf course, providing passengers with endless activities.

It is powered by four dual-fuel hybrid engines, making it environmentally friendly with reduced harmful emissions. In addition, it can easily accommodate up to 1,500 crew members and 6,600 passengers.

The gross weight of the ship is 183,900t. With 2600 staterooms, including 31 suites and 198 ocean-view cabins, it also offers family cabins with guest-friendly features on decks 15, 16, and 17.

The time-lapse video captures the construction process and includes the celebration and fireworks during the maiden voyage as if celebrating the ship's creation with the world. Next, AIDAnova embarked upon a seven-day vacation cruise to Madeira and the Canary Islands, covering locations such as Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura, followed by a Mediterranean cruise covering Majorca, Barcelona, Rome, Florence, and Marseille.

This timelapse video is beyond mind-boggling, showcasing the amount of engineering involved in putting together a modern cruise ship of this size. It is a spectacular sight to behold and a testament to the innovation and design that went into the creation of AIDAnova.
