Everyone has to carry their share of burdens. However, it would be harsh if you weighed only 30 pounds and had a 10-pound chain tied around your neck. Unfortunately, an abandoned stray dog was found with a heavy metal chain connected to the dog's neckband.
The Stray Rescue of St. Louis came to rescue a stray and lonely dog having difficulty walking because of the 10-pound heavy metal chain put around her neck as a leash.
The chain was hefty as this was a pretty long chain. This chain is usually used to seal huge fences and can weigh a lot, even if it looks small.
The dog was left alone at an old lot that had many abandoned cars and looked messy. She did not have anyone to take care of her and was wary of strangers.
The rescue worker had to give the dog some snacks to calm her down. Then, after the dog became friendly, the rescue worker took the dog into the vehicle and got her to the shelter.
At the shelter, the heavy chain was removed from the neckband of the dog. The feeling of the chain being removed from the neck must be incredible as the dog had a fantastic smile.
Later on, the chain was weighed and was found to have weighed 10 pounds. Thus, the weight of the dog was merely 31 pounds. The shelter worker was named Fallon Marie. She is now living a happy and content life full of hope for her future.
