Shreya Jha has some distinct and interesting qualities; she is a kindhearted caregiver to special needs crows. Outside her home, she has opened a little cafe for these intelligent birds. They seem to sense her warmth and affection, just like dogs.
She has all types of special needs crows, one-legged crows, crows with deformities - even crows that look like vultures! Nature out there isn’t very kind to deformed animals. That is why Shreya has provided shelter and attention to these birds.
We know pop culture has made crows look like evil birds. However, Shreya insists that the birds are just like every other bird. Her oldest crow friend, Charlie, was adopted two years ago when he wouldn’t stop cawing at her. “He was really entertaining. Charlie is the funniest crow.”

And from there, the numbers of her crows have grown. Sometimes, up to 100 birds visit her ‘cafe’ to eat and socialize. Crows are brilliant birds. They have distinct personalities and recognize some words Shreya speaks to them.
Singles and couples, all crows perch here. The crow couples are adorable and care for each other. When Charlie was severely injured, his partner, Chelsea, helped feed him. After Charlie began to recover, he picked up food to feed her instead.
Shreya finds a way to help the crows when they can’t even feed themselves. Just like the crow who had broken upper beak. She put the food in the water so he could scoop it for himself.
“Taking care of somebody else actually makes you feel better,” Shreya recommends crow therapy to everyone. The crows have come to love her. An old crow even spent his last days with her before he never returned. With that kind of love, perhaps we all need crow therapy.
