Woman Spots Her Dogs Sleeping. She Grabs Her Camera And Films A Hilarious Surprise

Above all, we cherish our pets for all the love and companionship they give us. But they can also give us countless laughs. Pets’ antics (and especially, antics gone wrong) can get us to totally crack up, sometimes rolling on the floor, right there with with them. Although cat videos dominate the internet, dogs actually possess tremendous comedic talent. Dogs are always getting into something, often including trouble. But even when they’re bad, they still manage to melt our hearts.

Basset Hounds are an especially popular breed of dog. These long, floppy-eared, short-legged dogs were originally bred for hunting rabbits. Their sense of smell is incredibly acute, even by the already high standards of dogs in general. Nowadays a typical Basset Hounds leads a far less strenuous life than his hunting forebears: his job is to be a domestic pet. They tend to be docile, gentle, friendly, and playful. They usually get along well with children and other pets. There’s a lot to like; even their droopy faces can be thoroughly endearing.

Gretchen Hoey has five — yes, that’s right, five — Basset Hounds in her home. Her quintet is quite well behaved, seldom providing entertainment via misbehavior. However, as you’ll see in the video we’ve posted below, they can still be very, very funny. One day, she noticed that all five of them had somehow crammed themselves into a single Dogloo for an afternoon nap. Fortunately she had her phone with her and started recording. When she got a bit closer, the dogs woke up and came out one by one. You’re left wondering how they were able to squeeze themselves in there. How did they decide who was on the bottom of the pile? We have no idea, but it’s absolutely adorable.

We’ve posted the video for you below. You’ve got to see them filing out of that Dogloo like clowns from a tiny car.
