When people are getting married, they always want to make it the happiest day of their lives. After all, it’s the start if a new stage in one’s life, and people want to make sure it goes the best way possible. Unfortunately, for lots of people around the world, marriage can never be like that. In the video we featured below, we can see a very strong message about underage marriage, and how it affects a very large part of the world even today. The message is very touching, and it teaches us that there is still much to be done to make a better world.
In the video, you can see a young girl, named Thea, who’s only 12 years old, but already getting ready to get married. Her husband to be is a much older man, a 37-year-old called Geir. It all goes as any other wedding, but after she walks down the aisle and the priest asks her the final question, and her answer leaves us with a very strong message about our world. Not everyone gets the option to give that answer, and we all have to change that.
