Remember the days when airports were a completely different world? Let’s reminisce together…

Oh, the times when we had to walk across the tarmac and climb portable stairs to board airplanes! Weather conditions be darned! We were unstoppable adventurers. And who could forget the excitement of watching planes take off and land from the airport observation area? This kind of free entertainment made us feel on top of the world.

Now, picture this: a wall of payphones, lines of people waiting for their turn to make a call. Remember the mad scramble for coins? Those were the days! Nowadays, you’d be lucky to find a pay phone, and everyone’s huddled around charging stations instead.

Speaking of which, do you recall the strict dress code for air hostesses? Form-fitting uniforms, hats, high heels, and white gloves – flying was a glamorous affair back then. Nowadays, we’re all about comfort in our sweatpants and slip-on shoes.

And oh, the Hare Krishnas at airports in the ’70s and ’80s! They were as ubiquitous as the flowers they handed out while soliciting donations. Not to mention the life insurance kiosks! Travelers seemed to believe that if they just bought that last-minute policy, they’d be covered for any flight-related mishap.

Remember when airlines served actual food in coach? Sure, we complained about it, but we couldn’t help but miss it once it was gone. Now we’re lucky to get a pack of peanuts or pretzels on a long flight.
