John Holt receives a call about an overturned vehicle and he responds as quickly as he can. He arrives at the scene of the accident to find a car that was flipped over.
There is a child crying while his mom is stuck underneath the car. Holt has to act quickly because he cannot be too sure what will happen if he cannot get the woman out.
He first makes sure the child is safe and away from the vehicle. The footage of his body cam goes black as he pressed himself against the vehicle.
Placing his shoulder underneath the door frame, he braced himself. He told himself all he needed to do was stand up in order to lift the car.
You can hear him as he uses all his strength in this tense moment, grunting as he performed a feat of pure power. He even takes a moment to ask the woman if she can slide out.
Thankfully the woman is able to get out from underneath the car thanks to John Holt’s quick thinking and bravery. The medical staff arrives and they say the woman will be okay.
He believes that he is no hero, claiming to be another average cop simply doing his job. The humility is astounding and expected, coming from a modern-day hero.
