Lord of the Dance was created by world champion Irish dancer and creator of Riverdance, Michael Flately. Since Michael, there have been two other Irish dancers named Lords of the Dance.
As a celebration of their 25th anniversary, they announced a third Lord of the Dance giving a sneak peek of their upcoming Germany tour performance on the Giovanni Zarella Show.
Cathal Keaney is introduced, and it is immediately clear why he earned the title Lord of the Dance. His command of his dancers and the discipline they show are astounding.
Keaney’s footwork is breathtaking, clean, and faster than you would think possible. The passion and excitement he has for Irish dancing are evident by the beaming smile on his face.
The show starts out with the nine men performing their Irish step dance and showing off their impressive muscles as they take off their shirts when they exit the stage.
Then the women take the stage to perform their piece. Finally, the men join the women and the Lord of the Dance himself takes center stage wowing the entire audience.
What an outstanding show to watch! These Irish step dancers are true artists. Cathal Keaney is more than worthy of the title Lord of the Dance. We can’t wait to see his future performances!
