Majestic pair of wolves sing you the song of their people

Nikai and Zephyr, two gray wolves born in captivity, are featured in this video. These two beautiful wolves are two out of three ambassador wolves. Their role is to educate the public about wolves and their role in the ecosystem.

Their location is the Wolf Conservation Center (WCC). A non-profit organization, the WCC is located in South Salem, New York. The organization has critically endangered red wolves and Mexican gray wolves as well.

In the video, the pair throw their heads towards the sky and howl. Wolves use howling to communicate over long distances. They could be communicating their location or the position of predators and prey.

Pair of wolves singing

Whatever it is Nikai and Zephyr are communicating isn’t known. But it does make a beautiful song to give you goosebumps. They howl and hold the note for a long time.

As you hear these wolves howl their beautiful song, you can appreciate their majesty. Seeing them like this helps us understand why these endangered animals must be saved and protected.

The wolves sing from their hearts, and you can see their bellies contract with the depth of their howls. Nikai and Zephyr sing till their song fades out. Then they begin to take turns exchanging howls soon after that.

At some point, one of the wolves leaves the other standing in the video. But despite not being seen, the other wolf is still actively keeping their song alive. The video ends when the gray wolf looks into the camera.
