At a kangaroo sanctuary in Australia, they get all types of kangaroos. Rufus the kangaroo came to them at 8 months old. He was small, precious, and intelligent.
It didn’t take long for Rufus to discover the couch inside the owner’s home. There he found what true comfort felt like, ever since then he kept coming back.
Every day early in the evening, he is at the door waiting to be let in. He knocks to let them know he’s there. Inside waiting for him is his favorite couch.
While on the couch he watches tv, takes a nap, and gets cuddles as well. He has his own reserved spot. Once they go to bed they take him outside to be with the others.
Their sanctuary is called Pumpkins Patch Kangaroo Sanctuary. In South Australia, it is illegal to release orphaned joeys back to the wild. It is a good thing they found Rufus when they did.
Rufus is such a character full of personality. He is always playful and clingy. They catch him doing the funniest things. Even as an adult he still loves his bottles.
Everyone loves Rufus and he loves them back. He acts just like a big dog, and they love to watch him relax on the couch. Rufus has truly brought more joy into their world.
