When he was 8, Sammi the Springer Spaniel had to go through surgery to get rid of a bone growing near his spinal column. But unluckily, Sammi’s surgeon was unable to remove the excess bone and it resulted in a steady decline of the dog’s health. His family was devastated and heartbroken. But not giving up on him, they brought him to California Animal Rehabilitation (CARE) in Santa Monica.
His recovery was very slow and the doctors suspected that Sammi live the rest of his life with paralysis. But a miracle happened when after three arduous months of daily rehabilitation; Sammi defeated the odds and took his first steps. He started walking again! In this heart-warming video Sammi is reunited with his mom Janie and her reaction is simply priceless!
