There is no denying that the Mattel Fashion Doll Barbie has stood the test of time. This doll has been around since the 1950’s. But in that time Barbie has also stood the test of criticism for not having a real person body type. In all those years it didn’t seem there was a fashion doll that challenged the fashion queen by giving kids a realistic alternative that is till now.
The times have changed and apparently the type of toys that appeal to kids is also changing if the second graders featured here are any indicator. These kids were ask to give their honest opinion on a new type of fashion doll created by Nickolay Lamin called the Lammily doll. Lammily was basically created in the image of what Barbie would look like if she was an actual person.
Lammily has more realistic proportions along with little imperfections on her body. So, what was the reaction to Lammily in her test against iconic Barbie. Well, turns out for the most part kids had more favorable things to say about Lammily, such as saying that they could relate to the way she looked as oppose to Barbie looking way too perfect.
