Dolly Parton’s Movie “Coat Of Many Colors” Wins Multiple Awards At The Movie Guide Awards

When Dolly Parton’s movie “Coat Of Many Colors” was released, the artist likely didn’t have any idea it would become such a runaway hit. But anyone who has seen the movie can tell you the popularity is well deserved.

Now, even awards shows are recognizing this movie’s greatness. Alyvia Alyn Lind, who played the young Dolly Parton in the movie, won the Grace Award at the Movie Guide Awards.

This special awards show rewards the “best family friendly movies and television shows of the previous year”. Hosted by Duck Dynasty’s Sadie Robertson, it aired on the REELZ channel back in February.

The Grace award is for “an actor or actress in a motion picture or television program who exemplifies God’s grace and mercy toward us as human beings through their outstanding performance,” according to the MGA website.

Dolly Parton and Sam Haskell both won Epiphany Awards for their work as executive producers on “Coat Of Many Colors”. There’s no doubt this movie will be a treasured source of entertainment and inspiration for years to come.
