Many people keep birds as pets. Yes, they are adorable, but sometimes they can be a bit too much of work. Take this little birdie, for example. I am sure her owner is having a rough time cleaning after her! Wait till you see what this adorable lovebird does in the video given below! You are surely going to crack up when you see this!
According to a former breeder’s comment, this bird is a female peach-faced lovebird named Bibi. And the behavior she is exhibiting in this video is actually how they carry nesting materials to their nests. An unpaired female is usually known to lay eggs after this behavior and it could often lead to complications or death due an excessive desire to raise a family.
This owner doesn’t seem concerned that her behavior is dangerous, and I’m sure he’s there to protect her. Bibi is using her beak to shred a piece of paper into long thin strips that she tucks into her tail. What’s amazing to me is that each piece of paper is exactly the same length and width. She’s is meticulous in her routine.
Bibi tucks each piece of paper into her tail feathers and when she’s finished, she carries the papers off to her nest. Her owner is filming the entire thing so we can watch this beautiful little bird prepare to build her nest. Amazing.
