Mom captures on video her little son trying to make his case. So funny!

Is it just me, or do you also think that kids are getting more vocal each day? Call me old-fashioned, but I grew up in a time where respect for your parents was an everyday thing. I remember when I was a kid, a parent’s word, instruction or order was the law. Kids didn’t question it back then. Sure, there were times that you didn’t agree with what your parents said, but you would address it differently than today.

I remember my father was a man of few words. He wasn’t scolding us every hour, he didn’t need to. We would eat together at the table and everyone would get a turn to say Grace. My father would sometimes check our notes from school just to see if we were doing well. He rarely found anything wrong. I was brought up to be very organized and I was expected to clean after myself.

If my father asked me to do something, I did it. No questions asked. The idea of talking back to your parents, much less to your teachers, was unheard of. Today, I have been a witness to the biggest displays of disrespect on the planet right in our elementary and middle schools. I am not saying that spanking your children is okay, only that some years ago, there were more family values.

So, what do you do when you face a problem with a rebellious child? Talking to them is always the best choice. The conversations should be in a setting where both the parent and the son have the chance to express how they feel and get their points across. It is always important that the parent let the child know why he needs to change his or her demeanor and how this would affect him or her if they don’t.

If that doesn’t help, you can always seek professional help. It’s always better to look for a professional before things get more complicated at home. Sometimes kids can make bad decisions when they are angry or upset because they feel that they’re not heard. Parents do have to exercise patience at this stage as things like these usually take their time.

The kid in the following video apparently didn’t get the memo. He is arguing with his mom because he feels that he is entitled to eat cupcakes for dinner. His mother has already explained that this is not possible. So, what she does is grab her cellphone to record the whole thing. Get ready for one of the funniest videos out there and check out the little guy. I might even hire him as my lawyer!
