Imagine walking around outside and hearing cat sounds nearby. Then you go over and take a closer look. It’s two kittens! Though they don’t look like any breed of kitten that you have ever seen. They have different markings and longer necks. The two kittens are clearly newborns. Their eyes haven’t even opened. It’s obvious that they are in trouble. What would you do? Rescue them? The person in this video did , or tried to.
Experts were unsure of what breed they were. Some even thought that it might have been a cross between a domestic and a wild cat. I don’t even want to think of how that one might have come about. Unfortunately, one of them died. The remaining one was being bottle-fed. There weren’t any other updates, so I hope the other little fella made it. Who knows? Sadly, life can be cruel.
One burning topic of discussion on the YouTube page for the video was whether or not the people who found the kittens should have just left them there, since the mother may have gone off to get food. It’s easy for people on the Internet to be authorities on every subject when it comes to these videos. We don’t know how long the rescuers waited before bringing in the kittens. Like everything else in life, it’s better to keep our mouths shut until we know all the facts.
I’m sad that one of the kittens didn’t make it. It was cute. Hopefully, the other one survived with the round-the-clock bottle feedings. If I were to hazard a guess, it seems like the little guy is a cross between a savannah and an Ocelot. The longer neck seems to scream “Ocelot” but if the real experts are stymied, then so am I. See what I mean about people on the Internet always have an opinion?
