4-year-old boy takes the stage to perform classic Johnny Cash hit

Back in 1963, June Carter Cash and Merle Kilgore wrote a little ditty called “Ring of Fire” this song was originally recorded by June’s sister Anita Carter in 1963, but wasn’t a huge hit until Junes rather-well-know-husband Johnny Cash recorded it. This song has been ranked number 4 on “CMT’s” “100 Greatest Songs of Country Music” in 2003, and was rated number 87 on “Rolling Stone’s” list of “The 500 Greatest Songs of all Time”. This song was one of Cash’s biggest hit in his long career, staying at the number one position on the country charts for seven-weeks.

When this timeless song was written, I am pretty sure that the songwriters didn’t have a four-year-old country singer in mind. Now let’s think about this, what were we all doing at four-years-old? I can’t remember much about that time of my life, I was living in a small country town on the west coast. I mean who can remember that far back, right? Today’s technology means that we can record these moment for prosperity. Can you imagine looking back at footage from when you were four? Goodness, I don’t think I would want too.

In the clip below, you are going to witness one of the most amazing little boys that you will ever see. 4-year-old Valor Yost is probably the most confident little chap that you will ever see. This little fellow is bound to be the youngest Johnny Cash impersonator that you will see in a long time. Now young Valor has an amazing grasp on music, the stage is set and Valor is ready to wow the audience with his vocal abilities. He starts to strum his guitar, the band joins in and then he launches into his vocal performance that surprises everyone.

For those of you who have played an instrument, or even if you are just an avid music fan, you will know how important timing is. Little Valor has the timing of Ring of Fire down to a tee, and is leading the band. I am always amazed at the talent of some of the children that I have seen over the years on YouTube, and this clip will blow your mind at the powerful-performance of young master Yost.

Child stars are not discovered very often and are few and far between, but I think that Valor Yost will be a name that we will here over and over again in the years to come. The world for this young man will be his oyster should he decide to continue with his show-business career. Click on the link below and enjoy the show. The band around him are just smiling as they realize the potential that little Valor has, his future looks as bright as the stage lights that are shining on him.
