Her mother-in-law accused her of hanging up the phone whenever she called. It always happened. Ring.... Ring... Ring... then silence. What was happening here?
Then she finally caught the culprit in the act: her cat! This smarty-pants had figured out for himself that when the phone rings, it's only polite to answer. If only he could actually say "hello". LOL Maybe he was just waiting for very important call and didn't want to keep the line tied up!
Thus the mystery was solved. No harm. No foul. And now everybody knows what a smart cat they have! Too cute.
