Anshu believed that she was a clingy cat mom and her toothless senior cat was her soulmate. The owner of the rescued cat lived in the DC area, where there were many cats abandoned or left on the road.
Thus, Anshu's family decided to help. They went to a shelter to adopt another cat. However, they saw Nugget at the shelter and immediately fell in love with him. The poor guy was found on the streets.
His teeth had to be extracted after he suffered from an infection. Anshu wanted a playful kitten. However, Nugget was a senior cat. Nonetheless, when the cat saw his future owners, he walked up to them and instantly started to hug them.
They knew he was the one they wanted to adopt. They ended up taking him home that day. Anshu's husband was worried about whether they could handle the senior cat since they had never had pets earlier. But he instantly connected with them.
Nugget was very gentle and a super affectionate cat. However, he had these tremendous loud purrs. Many people had told them that this kind of purring was known as trilling. This showed that the cat was thrilled.
Nugget was always purring, and he sounded just like the pigeons. Some people even told the owners that the purrs sounded like a velociraptor or a raccoon. The senior cat always wanted to be close to Anshu.
The senior cat loved to sit in the cabinet filled with potatoes. Nugget did that every time Anshu opened the cupboard. So, later she dedicated that part of the cabinet to Nugget. The owner later realized that he loved cuddling with them. So, whenever they traveled, the senior cat always had some potatoes to comfort him. They were inseparable. Even if Nugget was not so fond of other humans, he adored his family and shared a special connection with them.
