Who’s your favorite singer? If you’re like me, you probably have many. I am always checking the Internet to see which new artist I can discover. Recently, I have been looking for new artists that can perform Christmas songs exceptionally well. Even though it hasn’t been an easy task, every day I continue to find talented singers who are very worthwhile. Most of them have not had a record deal or contract offered to them.
I usually check out singing competitions. You know, America’s Got Talent, X-Factor? And I always end up finding someone who manages to impress me. Even though I have seen pretty much everything there is out there, or at least I think I have, there’s always someone who manages to amaze me. At times, I get impressed by the people who I least expect.
Sometimes it’s a guy who doesn’t look like he can sing at all. Then, he starts singing and manages to shock the audience and judges. They are probably people who had been afraid to perform in front of an audience, and when they get the chance to do it, they go for it.
The next video is a cover by a fresh artist that has been making waves in the music industry for quite some time. Her name is Hailey Reese. She got her start from the very bottom. Singing at karaoke restaurants at the age of 2, she took part in many talent competitions since she was 5 years old. Her parents had always been very supportive of her, not because they were competitive themselves, but because they saw she really liked it.
She wrote her first song at the age of five, and another one that impressed so many people, that she got invited to record it. The thing is, she was only 10 years old at the time. She also became the youngest artist ever to perform at Move to Define at City Hall in Kitchener, Ontario.
Even though she grew up in Ontario, she knew that to pursue her career better, she would need to move to the United States. It was in the States that she was able to record more of her songs and continued uploading her videos to YouTube, where she has acquired a lot of followers.
