Randy Travis is well known for his deep and soulful voice. For a while there, it seemed like he held the title for the most baritone voice in all of country music. Then Josh Turner came on the scene, and wowed us with a voice that is impossible to ignore.
The video below features a collaboration between these two amazing singers, and it proves that the sum of the parts really is greater than the pieces. These two are out of this world!
They sing Turner’s “Long Black Train”, a track off his debut album of the same name. Turner wrote and recorded this track over 13 years ago, and it stayed on the country music charts for over thirty weeks, peaking at #13.
The song became a certified gold single, and to this day is one of Turner’s most iconic songs. I can only imagine that getting the chance to share the stage with Randy Travis, an icon in his own right, would be a dream come true for Turner.
