Life can be tough. It can feel like it’s pressing down on you. You may have credit card bills to pay, mortgage due, work may be hard to find. It can all feel unbearable. But it can also change in the blink of an eye. I try to stay positive that way. I always wake up each day, positive that something good will happen. The kitten that we see in this video learns that same lesson. Though I’m not sure it actually understands that.
Leo was working and he heard a meow from the yard in his workplace. He went outside and saw possibly the cutest kitten alive. She was sitting there, her eyes crusted shut, feeling lonely. Her pathetic little mews were testament to that. Feeling pity, he reached down and pet her. She instantly perked up. We see him adjusting the phone so that he can pick her up. For a few annoying seconds, we just see his fingers. “WE WANT KITTY!” I wanted to yell.
This man has a lot more patience than me. I would have scooped up that little kitten and carried her in my apartment in like .5 nanoseconds. She’s ADORABLE. Leo and his wife, Laney, named her Daenerys Targaryen. Yes, they are definitely “Game of Thrones” fans. Hopefully this little kitty doesn’t summon dragons. That would make a bit of a mess in the neighborhood, with everything being set on fire.
Apparently Daenerys is now over a year old and gets along famously with their other cat, Skidmark. I really don’t want to know how they came up with the name for that one… It’s so sweet that they brought this kitten into their lives. There she was, standing in their yard, feeling alone and unloved and within minutes, was in a new home. It just goes to show you that your life can change in minutes, too. I don’t expect someone to pet you on the head, though.
