Taking the dog out for a morning walk is a great way to get some exercise and bond with your pet. But what if you have a duckling, instead?
Ducks were domesticated at least 4,000 years ago and yes, the human-duck relationship has included people keeping ducks as pets. In particular, ducklings, with their fluffy yellow feathers have always warmed people’s hearts. They’ve inspired children’s numerous children’s stories. And what bathtub is complete without a rubber duck?
Say hello to Charley. He’s an adorable little duckling. Every morning he wakes up and follows his favorite human around, even going for a morning run with him. Apparently nobody believed this, so the human had to make a video to prove it.
Charley and his human friend start with a warm-up. They do some walking and some brief bursts of running. Charley is clearly eager to keep up. By now thoroughly warmed-up, they’re ready for the main event. They stop briefly at the end of the driveway and then it’s time to run at full speed. It kind of like the way a plane takes off, revving up the engines at the beginning of the runway and then zooming off. Granted, there is a difference: Charley can’t fly yet. You’ve got to see this happily chirping duckling go nuts and run along after his human. We’ve posted this super-cute video for you below.
I don’t know about you, but if this happened to me every morning, I would definitely wouldn’t have any complaints. Charley the duckling’s chirping and sheer enthusiasm could put a smile on anyone’s face.
