Pentatonix is one of the most amazing acapella groups I have ever heard in my life and this particular song is proof of how amazing they are. This five-member group from Arlington, Texas has been making quite a buzz in recent years with their incredible covers and originals. They formed the band in 2011 and they won the third season of The Sing Off after that, which was well deserved. They even received a Grammy in 2015, but because they are an acapella group, many people have still never heard of them. This video features their amazing new Christmas cover and hopefully, they will become more popular after this makes the rounds on the Internet.
They perform “Joy To The World,” one of the most popular Christmas songs of all time, but their take on this song is a truly unique rendition. It was initially published in 1719 with the music arrangement being written in 1839, so you can see how old it is and that it truly stands the test of time as one of the most popular Christmas songs. It is also the most published Christmas song ever. It has been covered by a lot of artists before, but Pentatonix’s rendition is something else and really worth listening to.
