This dog was found on the side of a road in very devastating condition. She was hit by a car that presumably didn’t stop when it hit her and was in a very gruesome state. When a police officer came to the scene, he decided to put her out of her misery. Little did the cop, or the dog know, that this dog’s life was about to change forever, and in a good way.
Dr. Matt arrived shortly after the cop and took her to the hospital to euthanize her. She was motionless and it was taking all her effort just to breathe, but when she raised her head and looked at Matt, he wanted to help. He just couldn’t put this poor dog to sleep. He had to give her a chance. She was begging him to give her a chance.
The poor dog had a lot of open wounds and some of her skin had become completely detached from her body in some spots. Her owners tracked her down and they were happy to see that the hadn’t put their beloved Janie down.
Janie is an older dog with some grey hairs, but that doesn’t matter. Her owners were so happy the vet didn’t euthanize her. He shows her progress in the video and at nine days she is already up and about, doing great. She took about a month to recover, but she is up and running now!
