One morning when Valentine family went out to their backyard, they saw an unexpected visitor. The poor couple was not imagining seeing a wild deer at all. That’s not your everyday occurrence! But they noticed quickly that the deer was entangled in someone’s Christmas lights. The animal was struggling to get free.
The lights were knotted around his legs and antlers, and the deer was fully trapped it seemed. He looked terrified of the situation he was in. They managed to get the deer to come closer, and he seemed to want help, but he wouldn’t come too close. Somehow they were able to get the lights away from his feet, but needed him to come closer to really get them off his antlers.
That’s when they decided to grab an apple, and while mom recorded the whole thing, the deer, tempted by the apple, came close enough for them to get the lights off his antlers. There was a fence between them and the deer, so they were not really afraid of being hurt. The deer seemed genuinely grateful to be rid of those Christmas lights, although he did leave the apple behind.
Thanks to the amazing couple, this deer got the help he needed. They knew that the deer could rip them to shreds with his antlers in a matter of seconds, but thankfully, they didn’t give up! This rescue was truly beautiful!
