‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ was written by Queen’s fantastic frontman, Freddie Mercury, in 1975. Since then, the song has taken on a life of its own. The six-minute masterpiece has been covered by so many performers through the years.
Many believe Adam Lambert is Freddie reincarnated because of their similar voices. Adam’s cover of the song is unreal, but was it the best? You get to judge for yourself.
First are Saara Aalto, Finnish singer, and Adam Lambert on ‘X-Factor UK.’ They sing the original version of the song and are spot on. Adam enters after Sarah sings the first verse, and he walks on top of the piano and stuns the crowd. Smoke and lights add to the rock show, while the band accompaniment is powerful.
Next is Cristina Ramos in the ‘AGT Championship,’ who sings an opera rendition of the song. The crowd loves her high notes and amazing vibrato. Her unique performance presents the classic song in an entirely new way.
The third performance is by Jeff Gutt on ‘X-Factor USA.’ He begins his version of the song sitting on the throne of swords from the ‘Game of Thrones.’ Jeff’s performance is very expressive; he jumps around a lot and gets down on his knees multiple times. He sings a more pure rock n’ roll rendition of the song.
Angelina Jordan is the next performer on ‘AGT Champions.’ She sings an acoustic version which is slow and calm. Her voice is impressive, and the crowd brings up cell phone flashlights in support. She has the judges mesmerized the whole time she is singing.
