Trace Adkins has earned a reputation as one of country’s ‘bad boys’ throughout his career. But there’s one thing that is guaranteed to make this rough rider’s big heart melt every time: his daughters.

Many of Adkins songs make it clear how much he loves his daughters, and what a softie he really is on the inside. Perhaps the most touching of these is the song “Just Fishin’”, released in March 2011.

The song explored a day spent fishing with his daughter. The daughter just thinks it’s a fun time fishing, but the narrator sees so much more in the moment, as these lyrics illustrate:

"She ain’t even thinkin' 'bout

What’s really going' on right now

But I guarantee this memory’s a big'in

And she thinks we’re just fishin'."

The song was an instant fan favorite, hitting number 6 on the Billboard Country charts and number 9 on year-end charts. The music video features his youngest daughter, Trinity, which adds a nice personal touch to the song. It’s obvious to anyone who see the video just how much Adkins loves his daughter.
