There are some moments that no matter how prepared you are, you still get caught by surprised. Whenever someone returns from overseas it’s always exciting and catches us off guard. Whether we surprise them at the airport or they surprise us while at home- It’s just about whose quicker and cleverer! Especially when it comes to the military. Add the bond of a dedicated father and daughter and you are in for quite the show!
Fifteen-year career combat medic Jason Michael Webb has been gone for quite a bit of time. His last overseas deployment left him out of the picture for a year and a half. Heart-breaking for all parties involved, including Haley, Webb’s teenage daughter. Haley currently goes to school at Bingham Middle School in Independence, Missouri. With a school assembly in less than an hour, the playful dad writes his daughters introductions cards. Little does she know, the very person she is introducing is her loving Dad.
This is quite the site to behold. The band, which Haley is a part of, plays their meticulously performed piece to such precision, it leaves the entire audience on their feet. Hayley puts down her instrument to introduce the next speaker. As she reads aloud, she notices similarities between her father’s characteristics and the person she is introducing. Part of her just shakes it off and finishes her introduction.
As she begins to walk away, that magical moment comes. The reuniting of father and daughter. What a gorgeous moment! I’ve never seen someone do a reuniting with family members quite like that.
