From the time of his birth on August 18, 1952, in Houston, Texas, you could tell that Patrick Swayze was destined to make it big. True to the stuff of legends, everything seemed to align in his favor.

Famed as a dancer, he learned his first moves from his mother, Patsy, a skilled choreographer. It was easy for him to pick up the steps as the mother also owned a dance school.

With his whole life still ahead of him, he met the love of his life, Lisa Niemi, in the same studio. It wasn’t long until their love blossomed and wedding bells rang on June 12, 1975.
