An ad company played the long game by releasing one of the most touching Christmas commercials of the year. The commercial starts out with no context, showing clips of an old man working out.
He’s doing a pretty good job of lifting the ball, but isn’t doing much else. It’s all a little confusing to watch, but impossible to turn away from. After days of successful workouts, he has a setback.
For a little while, happiness turns to sadness. But the Grandfather seems determined, and goes right back to working out.
At this point, you are rooting for him without even knowing why he’s doing it. Then the party happens, and it all comes together. This is a Christmas commercial that will for sure be shown again during the Superbowl.
