Elephants are one of the most stunning creatures in the whole world. They are not only beautiful, but they are also very intelligent. Despite their massive stature, elephants are known to be quite gentle, hence earning them the name of gentle giants. We have seen many videos on the internet featuring these amazing creatures. This sweet video is one of them.
Elephants are very social herd animals. They do everything together, including raising their young, so when one of them gets separated from the others, it can make for a stressful and tense situation, and if it’s a baby, it makes the baby much more susceptible to predators. So the herd tends to keep a close eye on the babies, but sometimes, one of them gets away.
This must have been the case before this video was filmed, but don’t despair. It has a happy, and rather amusing, ending. Syd from Georgia was on a safari in Tanzania, Africa in September of 2009. He was filming a herd of elephants when he suddenly saw something else in the distance. A younger elephant was running over to the herd with such happiness and vigor, that he even fell over!
The herd seems quite happy, and a bit surprised to see him. Maybe they didn’t notice he was missing, or maybe they are used to him being mischievous, but either way, his grand entrance is pretty funny. He must have gotten separated from his herd at some point. This happy yet hilariously clumsy reunion will make you smile for sure!
