The way that some people can abandon an animal when she needs their help the most is something that never ceases to amaze me. The case in the following video is a clear example of this. Fortunately, there are still many good people that will rescue them and make sure they are okay. This story began when a family didn’t want their cat with them anymore. The reason: they didn’t want her to have any kittens.
When they found out that their cat had given birth, they left her locked in her cage along with her kittens. They were locked and had no way of getting out. The family didn’t care if they got sick or if they ate or not. Actually, they couldn’t eat anything because of the fact that they were locked. Rescuers didn’t know how long they had been there, but one thing was for sure, they were probably in bad shape.
Fortunately, these kittens and their mother were very lucky. A group of people found them before it was too late. They recorded the entire incident, including the moment the kittens could be heard meowing. It felt as if they were asking them to get them out of there. Fortunately, the people did. They realized that many of them were weak, especially their mother.
They took everyone home, and then to a vet to see what kind of shape they were in. The vet confirmed that they were a little dehydrated but okay. Now, everything that was left was to find them a loving home they could call their own. The best part was that they didn’t even need to look for homes for the young kittens, they would be adopting them.
I think this is one of those life lessons we should all get to watch. There is a lot we can do to help little animals in distress, but it all starts with the type of education and values we teach our children. Remember that responsible children usually will turn into responsible adults. But the most important teaching we can give them is the one we set with our own example.
Leaving little animals defenseless against the environment is not only an act of great selfishness but also an act of cruelty. Remember that a large part of the animal overpopulation problem we now have has been caused by humans. By breeding them in hopes of creating a cat with certain features, they end up creating many more that end up on the streets.
It is better to adopt than to buy, but what’s even better, is to do the right thing and share this video with your friends and family. The time to raise awareness is now!
