About 200 meters off the coast of Norway Divers discover a mysterious gelatinous ball floating in the waters of a fjord. While they didn’t find the WWII wreck they were looking for, they did find thousands of baby squid.
Filmed in a fjord in Norway, this extraordinary footage shows a diver coming upon the egg sac of a giant squid. Inside the gigantic sac are thousands of tiny baby squid.
This might just look like a massive balloon, but if you look closer, you’ll see small little specs. Those specs are teeny baby squid. This sort of structure is how squid and octopi have their babies. This particular sac is large enough to hold an entire diver, so the squid it came from must be huge.
