Kid has a hilarious secret in this 1960s game show

I’ve Got a Secret was an American panel game show from the early fifties to the late sixties. Since then, the show has had few revivals with changes regarding the era.

The show’s hilarity is that the premise was to try and figure out a contestant’s secret. These secrets were usually something incredibly funny or majorly embarrassing about the person in question.

The host asks for the first contestant to come on to the stage. What follows is a young man pushing a toddler in a high rolling chair. The game has not even started, and we can sense a tinge of hilarity.

The host gives the baby a few toys to keep him entertained. However, the young boy doesn’t seem amused by the truck and the bear and decides to give them all back to him.

The young man presents himself as Clifton Kendrick and the toddler as his little brother, Timothy Michael. The host asks both of the boys to whisper their secret in his ear.

We learn that Clifton’s secret is that he collected 40 insects for a school project. A list of his diverse collection appears on the screen, and the audience is laughing at it all.

The host then moves on to ask little Timothy what his big secret is. “I ate them all” appears in big white letters across the screen. The audience burst out laughing. The show then goes on for a few more minutes, with the panel trying to figure out the secrets.
