Two artists pair together to create one of the most brilliant performances of The Voice. These artists are Paris Winningham and Jonathan Mouton. Their performance of Luther Vandross’s hit song ‘Here and Now’ gave them a chance to reach the final battle stage.
The Voice is a music talent hunt show where judges like Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Blake Shelton also double as coaches for contestants. The rounds included are numerous.
They are Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts, and Live Performance Shows. The battle round shows the two singing the song of Luther Vandross, ‘Here and Now,’ which was initially released in 1996.
It’s a song about real love, showing an unfaithful man who suddenly becomes faithful to marital vows. Their pitch was perfect, and Kelly Clarkson notes that they are so “evenly matched.”
All the coaches gave them a standing ovation, just as the audience screamed so loud. Blake Shelton noted that their performance was so moving, and it sounded like a complete record.
In addition to these comments, Ariana Grande called them world-class singers. She says they had great vibratos, and their performance was simply impressive.
However, as one of them had to leave, it was a dilemma for the judges. The nail-biting situation saw Paris come out on top as the winner of this epic Voice Battle.
