Weddings are crazy times for everyone. With so much planning involved, and so much that could go wrong, it’s hectic all around. The week leading up to the wedding of Duck Dynasty Stars Jase and Missy Robertson was no exception.
Missy wrote a blog post about the madness of those days before the wedding, and shared something her father said to her: “When you get married on Friday, you can’t come home.”
Missy couldn’t quite believe what he’d just said to her, so she asked him what he meant. He said, “You are not welcome to come back to this house to live after Friday night.”
Of course she was pretty taken aback at that point, but her dad continued. “When you have problems with your husband, and you will, you’ll need to work them out. Your mom and I will be here to help you however we can, but you’ll have to go home to your husband.”
She shared this story with her oldest son, Reed, who is engaged to fiancee Brighton. They are planning to get married this fall. She wanted to impart the same wisdom to her son that her dad gave to her.
